Independent practice with established scope
Threshold is an advisory practice for people and organisations working through cross-border relocation. We help you understand the order of things, prepare properly, and recognise the point at which a matter must go to an authorised professional.
A
B
A structured working session that maps what a move would actually involve, including sequence, dependencies, documents to gather and the questions that must be answered by an authorised professional or the responsible authority.
Administrative preparation work: building a document inventory, tracking what has been requested, what is outstanding and what has an expiry date attached to it, so that your representative is not waiting on paperwork.
Advisory support for organisations building or reviewing an internal mobility process, covering the internal steps, owners, timelines and record-keeping that sit around whatever the destination jurisdiction requires.
Where a matter requires a lawyer or a regulated immigration representative, we say so and help you reach one, including how to verify that person's authorisation yourself on the relevant public register.

Adviser names, credentials, regulatory authorisations, jurisdictional scope and fees appear on this site only when the underlying information has been supplied and verified. Nothing is illustrative.
III
No approval, permit, status, job, admission or timeline can be guaranteed by any adviser. Any practice that offers one is telling you something that is not within its power.
IV
An enquiry needs a name, a way to reply and a short description. We do not request passport numbers, file numbers, national identifiers, medical or criminal history, or document uploads through this website.

D
Step 01
You describe the situation in your own words. We read it and reply in writing to say whether this is something we can help with, and where it is not, who the right kind of professional would be.
No fee. No obligation. Not a professional relationship.
Step 02
A conversation to establish what you actually need, what falls outside advisory work, and what would have to be confirmed by an authority or an authorised representative before any decision is made.
Any fee is agreed in writing beforehand.
Step 03
If we proceed, the scope, the deliverables, the exclusions and the fee are set out in writing and signed. A professional relationship begins at that point and not before.
Professional fees are separate from any government or third-party charge.
Step 04
Advisory work is delivered as written material you keep. Where a matter moves to a regulated representative, the material transfers with you.
You are told when a matter is outside our scope.

A first enquiry needs a name, a way to reply and a short description. Please do not send passport numbers, file numbers, national identifiers or copies of documents, and we do not accept them through this website.
Submitting an enquiry does not retain the practice and does not create a professional relationship.
